Enhance Positive Negotiations with Your Surgeon Clients
Use of this tool leads to improved patient outcomes.
When incorporated into Policy and Procedure Manuals after open discussion involving surgeons and CRNAs, the author predicts an improved atmosphere of peace and harmony producing a less stressful work environment of the OR.
This compilation of exclusion criteria was developed as a tool to address the pre-operative evaluation of any proposed patient to receive anesthesia and the subsequent decision to proceed or cancel the procedure as critically determined by the evaluating CRNA.
Many factors must be taken into consideration for a CRNA's decision to cancel or proceed with a procedure, and each CRNA must make the decision to proceed based on their professional judgement.
This tool is offered as guidance only and not to direct the decision related to individual patient's care by a CRNA.
Disclaimer: The views expressed in this page and associated document are simply my interpretations of information I have read, compiled and studied. This tool is not intended to direct your anesthesia practice: rather your own judgment should be utilized. This tool does not include all disease processes and is intended to be used as a partial checklist to compliment the anesthesia provider's professional knowledge base and judgement.
